I’m having to learn how to wire an old 1960’s ceiling fan that has an atypical wiring scheme. It’s not that much fun. It’s interesting, however, the internet is rife with ceiling fan wiring diagrams, but nothing like what I have. We love this fan. It’s the fastest ceiling fan either of us has ever experienced. I think it could easily cause a concussion, possibly even death if it hit someone just right. Meaning, it’s a very powerful fan. We’d like to keep it.
This is impacting my writing time. I’m unemployed right now and looking for a full-time job. I’m fixing the wiring in our house, not to mention that I’ve had to help my elderly mother move that past weekend. She is about to move in with my wife and me in two weeks. It looks like she’ll be here for about 9 months, or more. Our home is small. It’s just been my wife and me in this house for eighteen years and I have a music studio that is being taken over by my mother. That’s where I write when I write. It’s where I record the podcast when I do that. It’s where I go to be alone. It looks like I’m about to have to learn a new way to get along each day.
I’m not sure how moving into share my wife’s room will be. We have a small three bedroom two bath house. We each have a room for computers and to be alone, though we really just started utilizing them that way in the past year or so. I have to move all of my music gear into that room and there isn’t enough room for it. I’m probably going to have to sell or store guitars and amps and other items. We also have a bathroom that needs a new shower so I’ll be putting in a new showed this next week and building a new storage shed in the back yard to store mom’s things. She’s paying $120 per month to store her belongings now, so it’s cheaper for her to just build a shed, store her things here and not to mention I’ll get to put my stuff in there too.
I’m looking for a job, but it feels like I already have one.
I’ve also recently discovered bookbinding. I’m about to embark on a journey of discovery to see if I have a talent or can develop the skill to bind books. I’ve found two schools that seem to have good reputations, one in Telluride, Colorado and the other in Virginia. If you have any information on Bookbinding, please share with me what you know and I’d love to hear from you.
That’s it from me for today. Type at you soon.
